Latest studies show that the Firefox browser is increasing its market share and thus becomes bigger threat to mostly used Internet Explore from Microsoft.

The Firefox market share is now over 8% and the analysts say that once it gets over 10% it will become a real player in the world of browsers together with IE (Internet Explorer).

This increasing popularity of Firefox browser has forced Microsoft release a new version of IE which is supposed to be out by the end of this year. Microsoft originally hasn’t planned to release new IE until next version of Windows ships in late 2006.

What does it mean for your website?

Make sure you test your website in at least these two browsers because it may look different in Firefox than does in IE. If your website was developed by professionals, make sure they test it in other popular browsers as well.
