When you are using a paperclip you probably don’t think about what it’s worth. Well, there is a guy his name is Kyle MacDonald and he thought he could get more for that little red thing. This 26 year old man a blogger from Montreal had a dream to own a house but with his low income it just wasn’t gonna happen. So one day, exactly on July 12 2005, he came up with the idea to trade that paperclip for other bigger and more valuable items until he gets a house.

One year later …

Exactly one year later Kyle accomplished just that. After 14 trades and many radio and TV appearances world wide he got his dream three-bedroom 1,100-square-foot home. Kyle started by posting an ad in the barter section of the Craigslist website. Now, after using this brilliant idea and awesome powers of the internet his dream became true.
